Proper preparation helps your skin respond better to treatment and reduces the risk of side effects. While exact recommendations vary depending on the procedure, some general pre-treatment tips include:

• Avoid alcohol and anti-inflammatory medications (e.g., ibuprofen, aspirin) 24–48 hours before injectables

• Pause active skincare products (like retinol, AHAs/BHAs) 3–5 days before chemical peels or microneedling

• Stay hydrated and get plenty of rest the night before

• Avoid sun exposure or tanning prior to most skin treatments

• Come with clean skin (no makeup or heavy skincare products)

For injectable treatments like anti-wrinkle or dermal fillers, we also recommend avoiding lying down for 4 hours and waiting 1–2 weeks before any additional facial procedures.
